MEI has made a collaborative arrangement with Barrett, Australia for new digital HF secure radio. MEI has militarized this radio and offered it to various users in Pakistan. MEI and Barrett have an understanding to produce radios in Pakistan. Going further in same collaborative arrangements, RF front end of these radios can be used to integrate it with indigenously developed HF radio waveform which will reduce Foreign Exchange dependency
